Literature Analysis #2

What A Wast Of Time
How do you make a book about a detective boring? I said, "Mark T. Sullivan & James Patterson's: Private L.A." The book is about some guy who kills 4 people without leaving a trace thanks to a little bonfire and an upcoming storm. Jack Morgan is a witty detective who's knows his way around a thing or two... I think. Some other people who help him and etc. Story ends with him solving the case of the murder and the mystery of two Hollywood persons and etc. It probably would've been fine, you know I like witty protagonists, I wouldn't mind....if not everyone was a wisecracking funny man. I have no idea who the target demographic is, boomers, millennials, etc. Haha funny, sex-toys scene, ha-ha, look it's funny. Boring side plot about a woman trying to get into the pants of some random bozo, does it propel the story? no. Was it needed? no. useful to the plot? no. Character development? maybe? What a boring book, maybe it was my fault for expecting an interesting mystery novel, with twists and turns. Whatnot, the main antagonist is revealed like in chapter 5 or something, I don't remember how or when. How boring, how dull. Maybe I expected to much from this drama. Maybe I should've read something that was an actual mystery novel, yet, I still stand by my ground, should I have had lower expectations? No. No matter what I read I expect it to be a true piece of art, not a waste of time.
